But you'll also provide vital medical leadership, oversee the veterinary team, and cultivate an environment where exceptional pet care thrives. You'll develop medical protocols, mentor colleagues, and collaborate with the practice manager on finances, budgeting, and operational optimization. Outside of downtown is a large military base, Fort Detrick. Just outside the city proper, but still within Frederick County, you can find rolling hills, wineries, orchards and a strong agricultural presence. You can also hike part the Appalachian Trail. Frederick is part of the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area - located less than one hour from Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and about 45 minutes away from Gettysburg, PA. Relocation benefits are not available for local moves (e.g., short-distance moves within the same metro area).
