Riverview Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. Whether you're a credentialed technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) or an experienced veterinary professional without credentials, we'd love to connect.

Our hospital provides a level of medicine that is uncommon for a general practice. We routinely perform advanced procedures including:

What You'll Do

Depending on your experience and interests, responsibilities may include:

  • Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate electronic medical records
  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication administration
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
  • Perform laboratory diagnostics, including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, and blood chemistry
  • Assist with dentistry, including dental radiographs and prophylaxis
  • Support hospitalized and urgent care patients
  • Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care

What We're Looking For

  • Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant experience required
  • Credentialed Veterinary Technicians (CVT, RVT, LVT) encouraged to apply
  • Experienced non-credentialed veterinary professionals will also be considered
  • Anesthesia monitoring experience required
  • Emergency anesthesia experience preferred
  • Dental experience preferred (training available)
  • Ability to adapt to multiple doctors' workflows and patient needs
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Flexible, team-oriented mindset
  • Passion for high-quality medicine and patient care
