Salary: $20-$30 per hour depending on experience may vary

Are you wishing to be utilized to your full potential? As a Licensed Veterinary Technician with Hope Springs Veterinary, we strive to maximize the knowledge and skill utilization for our Licensed Veterinary Technicians.

Our Licensed Veterinary Technicians have the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of our clients and patients daily.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate nursing care
  • Obtain laboratory sample collection, process and possibly interpret results (fecal/parasite analysis, ear cytology, skin cytology, urinalysis, blood smears)
  • Surgery preparation, anesthetic monitoring and recovery
  • Perform dental prophies and dental digital radiography
  • Perform diagnostic imaging
  • Care of hospitalized patients
  • Fill prescriptions and review directions with clients
  • Patient restraint
  • Communicate with clients regarding variety of topics
  • Support other members of the team

Skills required:

  • Exceptional communication skills for in person and on the phone
  • Able to work under pressure and potentially stressful situations while handling multiple tasks
  • Attention to detail, excellent record keeping via electronic medical records
  • Perform venipuncture for phlebotomy and catheter placement
  • Assist veterinarian with appointments along with performing various technical based appointments (i.e. bandage change, anal gland expression)
  • Computer skills
  • Team-oriented and outgoing attitude
  • Self motivated to achieve results and maintain high standards
  • Provide outstanding experience for our clients and patients

The position may include some night and weekend hours.
