About the Role - Surgery Technician
This role is ideal for a technician who excels in the operating room and finds fulfillment in maintaining the highest standards of patient care. From induction to recovery, you'll play a vital role in ensuring patient safety, surgical efficiency, and outstanding medical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients, surgical suites, and equipment for procedures
  • Perform dental cleanings while exhibiting proficiency in dental radiography
  • Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia safely and accurately
  • Maintain sterility and aseptic technique throughout procedures
  • Anticipate the surgeon's needs and assist with surgical instruments and equipment
  • Ensure all surgical charges and records are complete and accurate in Cornerstone
  • Clean, wrap, and autoclave surgical instruments and packs
  • Communicate clearly with veterinarians and other team members regarding patient status
  • Monitor hospitalized surgical patients and provide attentive, compassionate care
What We're Looking For:
  • A experienced veterinary surgery technician (or CVT - Surgery)
  • Prior experience in veterinary surgery and anesthesia required
  • Strong technical skills, including IV catheter placement, intubation, and anesthesia monitoring
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Ability to multitask, anticipate needs, and stay calm under pressure
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
