Job description

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Veterinarian for a prominent Pharmaceutical client of ours. This position is in Houston, TX. Details for the position are as follows:
Job Description:

  • Pay: 80.00-125.00/hr.
  • Manager is open to candidates willing to relocate at their own expense. If not local, would hire over virtual interview.
  • 4-5-month assignment to start with potential for extension.
  • 7:00am-3:30pm and on call on rotating weekends if NEEDED.
  • Must have DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college or if degree is outside of USA must have ECFVG or PAVE certification.
  • This is a quarantine facility - animals get sent here from their supplier from outside of the US.
  • Perform Physical Exam, Weight, TB tests. Analyze clinical condition - trauma, diarrhea, etc..
  • Once CDC has cleared the animals are get sent to their safety assessments
  • Detect abnormalities in the animals.
  • Clinical Veterinarian will be responsible for providing professional veterinary services and assisting with the management of all phases of health care for the animal colony.
  • Provide clinical care for the animal colony.
  • Perform veterinary rounds as scheduled and provide clinical care and preventive medicine support.
  • Perform surgical support and provide anesthesia, surgical and analgesic technical expertise/advice to facilitate protocol development.
  • Assist in the development and deliver training for staff. training may include veterinary diagnostics, techniques, and minor surgical procedures.
  • Provide animal health care guidance for veterinary services personnel as required.
