After Hour Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Hospital Administrator to lead our dedicated team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

About You

As the Veterinary Hospital Administrator, you'll play a critical leadership role in the success of the hospital. You'll foster a positive, collaborative culture built on trust, accountability, and open communication while partnering closely with our medical leadership to support both our people and our patients.

You're a strategic thinker who enjoys developing teams, solving problems, and creating systems that improve the client experience, employee engagement, and overall hospital performance.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and developing hospital team members through coaching, mentoring, hiring, and performance management.
  • Partnering with medical leadership to support a collaborative and positive hospital culture.
  • Managing hospital operations, budgets, and financial performance.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators and identifying opportunities for continued growth.
  • Managing inventory and hospital software systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, security, and operational standards.
  • Delivering an exceptional client experience while supporting high-quality patient care.

Compensation is negotiable based on experience, credentials, and leadership background.

Experience & Qualifications Required
  • 3+ years of veterinary hospital management or leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent leadership experience
  • CVPM designation encouraged
  • Experience managing a multi-doctor veterinary hospital
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and P&L management
  • Proven leadership, coaching, hiring, and team development skills
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Commitment to exceptional client service
  • Strong Excel and computer proficiency
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently and more with assistance
