Veterinary Sales Director, West Division - Royal Canin

Preferred Location: California, Oregon, Washington near a major airport

Other Locations Considered: Arizona, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico

The Veterinary Sales Director is accountable for establishing an effective team environment to execute the Vet BU strategy and achievement of business objectives/KPI's for the Royal Canin Veterinary business.Improves execution of the Vet BU strategy by acting decisively and making prompt decisions that will yield desired outcomes.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA Preferred

  • 5-7 years direct sales experience

  • 3+ years of sales leadership experience

  • Proven track record of delivering consistent results across multi-level sales organizations and experience working in multiple functions

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written)

  • Must be able to travel up to75% of the time

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Responsible for delivering annual business targets.This includes development and execution of sales plans to deliver business objectives and performance metrics.

  • Can interpret and recognize meaningful data that helps develop and drive recommendation

  • Continuous improvement - Innovative thinking to help design and shape the Vet BU business model

  • Models the leadership behaviors commensurate with the 5 Principles.Creates an open and inclusive environment that fosters diverse perspectives, collaboration, and optimism. Responsible for upholding high standards throughout the sales team.

  • Ensures the financial targets and sales budgets associated with assigned areas of responsibility are achieved.

  • Actively develops a leadership pipeline through effective coaching of Regional Managers. Develops Line Manager's to meet both their career goals and the organization's goals.

  • Applies knowledge of the business and the marketplace to advance organizational goals and makes recommendations to sales leaders across the business to improve execution and direction.

  • Establishes clear responsibilities and processes for monitoring work and measuring results to ensure training, sales and marketing objectives are being implemented consistently across the area.

  • Develops strong working relationships with key stakeholder groups across the BU & organization (Marketing, Finance, Account teams, Digital Sales, Analytics, Digital Technologies, Inside Sales, Scientific Affairs). Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

  • Can decide and act without all the information and in a constantly changing environment.Can effectively lead the team through the uncertainty of change.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Thebase pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the below range, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, andexperience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay & general allowances (depending on the positionand employee's work schedule). Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicablepolicies andplans then in effect, and depending on the position offered and the employee's work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule), eligible employees are automatically enrolled in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents, and may be eligible to take up to 18 weeks of paid parental leave.Employees will also receivethe following paid-time off (which may be prorated based on start date and the employee's work schedule):120 hours of vacation per year, paid sick time for eligible Associates of 100% pay continuation for a maximum of 40 hours per calendar year,and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year that include both fixed and flexible holidays.
