Job description

Job Overview
We’re looking for a friendly, organized receptionist to be the welcoming face of our privately-owned
veterinary clinic. This is a full-time position. In this role, you’ll help create a positive experience for both
pets and their owners by managing appointments, handling client communication, and supporting our
veterinary team. If you have a strong customer service background and a passion for working with
animals, this could be the perfect fit.

Why Choose Parkway Veterinary Center
At our privately-owned clinic, you'll enjoy benefits that corporate practices simply can't match. Experience
direct access to leadership without layers of management, allowing your voice to be heard and your ideas
implemented. As our receptionist, you'll build meaningful relationships with clients and their pets, creating
truly personalized experiences without the constraints of corporate protocols or metrics. Join our close-
knit team where you can make a real difference in how clients and patients experience veterinary care,
from the first phone call to the final checkout.

What You'll Do:
● Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
● Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage client records
● Process payments and handle paperwork accurately
● Provide clear, compassionate communication to pet parents
● Work with veterinary staff to support a smooth client and patient experience
● Stay calm and efficient during busy or stressful situations

Requirements:
● 3+ years of experience in customer service, veterinary reception, or animal care
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
● Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
● Comfortable working with animals and supporting pet owners emotionally
● Professional and adaptable when handling difficult situations

The Right Person for This Job:
You’re naturally compassionate and calm under pressure. You know how to explain complex information
clearly and handle sensitive conversations with professionalism and care. You’re organized, adaptable,
and able to juggle multiple tasks without losing your positive attitude.

About Our Clinic:
We’re a locally owned, independent veterinary practice that takes the time to know our team, our clients,
and their pets. We focus on preventative care and open communication, creating a positive and family-
friendly environment where both staff and clients feel supported.
