Client Service Representative

Alpine Veterinary Hospital 7732 MacArthur Blvd, Cabin John, MD 20818

Pay: $18โ€“$23/hour, based on experience Schedule: 5-day workweek with rotating weekend shifts

Alpine Veterinary Hospital is growing, and we're looking for a Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our team in Cabin John, MD.

We're looking for someone with at least 1 year of customer service experience who enjoys helping people, loves animals, and can provide a welcoming and professional experience for every client and patient who walks through our doors. Veterinary experience is preferred but not required.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build their career in veterinary medicine while working alongside a collaborative and supportive hospital team.

What You'll Do

As a Client Service Representative, you'll be an important part of the client and patient experience.

  • Welcome clients and their pets with a friendly, professional attitude
  • Answer phones and respond to client questions
  • Schedule appointments and manage the hospital's appointment calendar
  • Check clients in and out efficiently and accurately
  • Process payments and assist with financial transactions
  • Communicate appointment details and treatment information to clients
  • Maintain accurate client and patient records
  • Coordinate communication between clients, veterinary technicians, and doctors
  • Help clients understand next steps for their pet's care
  • Handle client concerns with empathy and professionalism
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
  • Support the veterinary team with administrative and hospital tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience
  • Previous veterinary or animal-care experience is preferred, but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine interest in helping people and caring for pets
  • Comfortable speaking with clients in person and over the phone
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
  • Reliable, professional, and positive attitude
  • Comfortable working as part of a collaborative team
  • Willingness to learn veterinary terminology, procedures, and hospital systems
