Job description

Client Service Representative — Merrimac Valley Animal Hospital
Amesbury, MA
Pay: up to $22/hr DOE
Who We Are
Since 1968, Merrimac Valley Animal Hospital has been a trusted name for pets and the people who love them. We’re a progressive, 3-doctor practice that takes medicine seriously but never forgets that laughter, teamwork, and compassion are just as important. Our clients know us for delivering high-quality care, and our team knows us as a place where camaraderie and respect aren’t buzzwords—they’re the daily standard.

The Role
Our Client Service Representatives are the first hello and the last goodbye—aka the heart of the front desk. As a CSR, you’ll juggle phones, emails, and scheduling with a smile, making sure every client (and their furry sidekick) feels welcomed and cared for. You’ll be the calm in a busy day, the problem solver when things get tricky, and the warm connection that turns a vet visit into a positive experience.

What We’re Looking For
  • 1–2 years in a veterinary or medical setting preferred (but we’ll happily train the right fit)
  • A natural communicator who thrives on connecting with people and pets alike
  • Organized, adaptable, and steady under pressure (bonus points if you can do all that while offering belly rubs)
  • A team player who brings positivity, patience, and professionalism to every shift
Perks & Benefits
We take care of our people just as well as our patients:
  • Employer-paid short-term disability & life insurance
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance (with multiple coverage options)
  • 401K with company match
  • Generous CE program
  • Paid time off (vacation, sick, personal, and CE days)
  • Team member discounts for your own pets
  • Fertility & family planning support, LGBTQIA+ healthcare, mental health resources, and more
  • Programs like DailyPay, referral bonuses, and digital physical therapy to keep life running smoothly
Why You’ll Love It Here
At MVAH, you’re not just part of a team—you’re part of a legacy. We’ve been caring for pets in the Merrimac Valley for over 50 years, and we’re just getting started. If you’re ready to join a group that believes in high-quality medicine, community roots, and a supportive work culture where everyone has each other’s back, we’d love to meet you.
