Veterinary Cancer Group of La Mesa is hiring full-time experienced Veterinary Client Service Representatives to join our amazing oncology team! The Client Care Specialist is the primary support to our front office.

Job Overview:According to the Veterinary Cancer Society, 1 in 4 dogs will develop cancer at some point. Many that are diagnosed with cancer, survive to go on with their healthy, happy lives. With the help of the amazing staff at the Veterinary Cancer Group - one of the largest and most technologically sophisticated veterinary oncology groups, we are making this come true in our area. Our Client Care Specialist are an integral part of the hospital. Client Care Specialist are responsible for a variety of tasks related to customer service and patient care within the veterinary practice. Tasks include scheduling appointments for existing clients and preparing new clients for consults, animal handling, record management, presenting financial options and estimates, accurately reviewing service charges and entering into the client processing database, extensive client interaction, and preparing clients for their next appointment.
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience Veterinary Client Care Specialist preferred
  • Experience in Oncology is a plus
  • Team player and willingness to cross train in all areas
  • Positive attitude

Job Responsibilities:
  • Greet clients and patients in a friendly manner.
  • Get weights on patients and update medical record
  • Escorts and place patients in examine rooms.
  • Notify the doctor of the patient's arrival.
  • Make sure New Patients records are in record for the following day add a new patient history sheet if needed.
  • Confirm appointments for the following day.
  • Prepare drop-off forms, estimates and client authorizations.
  • Coordinate incoming calls and client call backs
  • Set up and schedule all appointments for new patients and rechecks.
  • Track no shows and canceled appointments by making a note in the medical record.
  • Gather new patient's records by calling the referring veterinarians office.
  • Enter new client and patient information into computer.
  • Enter into the computer all correspondence into patient's medical record.
  • Keep existing client and patient information up to date.
  • Light cleaning of the exam rooms and front lobby area.
  • Check clients out by receiving and processing payment for services rendered. Also reviewing and printing invoice.
  • Receive signed surgery/treatment consent forms and euthanasia forms.
  • Monitor incoming faxes/emails and distribute appropriately.
  • Attach laboratory results to medical record and task to doctor for review
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $20.00-$25.00 hourly dependent upon experience.
