Registered Veterinary Technician - SAGE Dublin
Compensation: $26-$34 an hour, plus shift differentials
Schedule: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day

In addition to a robust Surgery service, we also offer services for Emergency, Critical Care, Oncology, Anesthesiology, and Internal Medicine.

About the role:
As a member of the Surgery team you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures and the well-being of our patients. Some duties will include:
  • Conduct pre-surgical examinations and obtain medical histories.
  • Administer pre-anesthetic medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Insert and manage IV catheters for fluid therapy and medication administration.
  • Sterilize and set up surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Assist in tissue handling, retraction, and other tasks as directed.
  • Record all data accurately for the medical record.
  • Adjust anesthesia levels and administer additional medications as needed.
  • Provide postoperative care, including pain management and wound care.
  • Ensure the surgical suite is disinfected and ready for the next procedure.
  • Explain postoperative care instructions to pet owners and provide updates on the patient's condition.
  • Accurately document all aspects of the surgical procedure, including anesthesia records, patient monitoring data, and postoperative care.
  • Ensure the surgical area complies with veterinary medical standards and guidelines.

Compensation: $26-34 an hour, plus shift differentials
Basic Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years of surgery veterinary experience, CA-RVT required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriate
  • Consistent and reliable ability to monitor anesthesia, perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
  • Proficient in anesthesia administration and monitoring.
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate approach to patient care.

All basic required qualifications need to be met and demonstrated or your application will not be considered for this role.
