We're seeking a versatile, customer-focused team member to join our hospital in a hybrid Veterinary Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant role.

In this position, you'll enjoy the best of both worldscreating an exceptional client experience at the front desk while providing hands-on support to our medical team. You'll welcome clients and patients, coordinate appointments, assist with patient handling and outpatient procedures, and help keep daily hospital operations running smoothly.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong customer service skills and foundational veterinary assistant experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy variety in their day-to-day responsibilities.

Schedule: Full-time with flexible availability Monday through Saturday. While our hospital is currently open Monday through Friday, we anticipate adding Saturday hours in the future, and weekend availability will be required.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service, reception, or client-facing role
  • 1+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant
  • Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience preferred
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Animal handling and restraint (dogs and cats)
    • Experience with obtaining TPR and patient histories during exam room check-ins
    • Ability to manage a multi-phone line system while assisting in-person clients
    • Experience working with veterinary practice management software preferred
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records
    • Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a team

We have multiple staff members who are fear free certified and prioritize gentle patient handling. We currently operate 8am-6pm Monday-Friday, and typically have two to three doctors each day, with one performing surgery.
