Tama Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA-accredited Small Animal veterinary hospital . We offer a warm, friendly, outgoing atmosphere where our main goal is to provide compassionate care to our patients and clients as well as offering outstanding customer service!

We are looking to add a full time/part time Receptionist/Technician to our team. All positions are required to be available weekends and holidays as we are open 363 days of the year!

Veterinary Receptionist:

Ability to Multitask

Knowledgeable with AVIMARK software

Superb Phone Skills/Etiquette

Conflict Resolution

Client Education

Microsoft Word/Excel knowledge preferred

Ability to type Minimum 45 WPM

 

Veterinary Technician:

This is a fast-paced, highly technical environment, A qualified applicant will have experience with the following

Veterinary Technician Primary Duties:

IVC Placement

Sample Collection: Urine and Blood

Ability to Perform and/or assist in diagnostic testing including X-Rays and Cone Beam CT

A thorough understanding of anesthetic drugs, monitoring, and equipment

Instrumentation and Equipment care

Surgical Pack Preparation and Sterilization

Client education and Communication

Animal Restraint: Canine, Feline and Exotic (Fractious/Non-Fractious)

Dental Scaling and Polishing

Dental Radiographs

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent

Comfortable with restraint of fractious dogs and cats

Ability to lift 50 pounds

80% time on the floor as CSR; approx 20% time Technician

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00 - $26.00 per hour
