We are looking for a motivated Veterinary Assistant to support our medical team and help maintain an efficient, organized hospital environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with animals, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and wants to grow within a structured veterinary team.

Position Summary

The Veterinary Assistant supports the Technician and Senior Technician team by assisting with patient restraint, exam room flow, diagnostics preparation, and hospital cleanliness.

This is a support-level clinical role focused on efficiency and teamwork — not independent medical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient restraint for exams, treatments, and procedures

  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure efficient workflow

  • Obtain weight and basic vitals (TPR)

  • Assist with history collection and patient intake

  • Prepare diagnostic samples (fecal, cytology, SNAP tests)

  • Assist with radiographs and non-sterile procedures

  • Support hospitalized patient monitoring and report concerns

  • Clean and maintain treatment and exam areas

  • Perform basic services such as nail trims and anal gland expressions

What This Role Does NOT Include
  • Independent appointments or treatment planning

  • Interpreting diagnostics

  • Anesthesia induction, monitoring, or recovery

  • IV catheter placement

  • Medication prescribing or refills
