What is a Vet Plus?

Vet Plus professionals are veterinarians and veterinary staff who work for or with VetPlus, a company specializing in animal health products and nutritional supplements. They provide medical care, advice, and support for pets and livestock, often recommending VetPlus products to improve animal health and wellbeing. These professionals can work in clinics, consult with pet owners, or collaborate with other animal health experts to ensure the best outcomes for animals.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a veterinarian?

To thrive as a Veterinarian, you need a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, state licensure, and a solid background in animal biology, diagnostics, and surgical procedures. Familiarity with veterinary practice management software, digital radiography, and laboratory diagnostic tools is typically required. Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving skills, and compassion are essential soft skills for building trust with clients and providing quality animal care. These skills and qualifications ensure effective diagnosis, treatment, and client satisfaction in a demanding and rewarding veterinary environment.

What are some common challenges faced by veterinarians working in a multi-disciplinary animal hospital?

Veterinarians in multi-disciplinary animal hospitals often encounter challenges such as coordinating care with specialists (like surgeons or radiologists), managing complex cases that require input from various departments, and ensuring clear communication with both clients and team members. Adapting to a fast-paced environment with diverse caseloads can be demanding, but it also provides valuable opportunities to learn and grow. Successful vets develop strong collaboration and time-management skills to ensure high-quality patient care while supporting a positive team dynamic.

Job description

Veterinarian

$160,000 - $180,000 plus production | Flexible Schedules

Why Join Bond Vet?

We know you're busy, so let's cut to the chase. We're veterinary-led at every level and sustainability is our priority - we take care of our vets so you can take care of the pets you see everyday.

You'll have supportive staff and technology (Vetspire AI Scribe, Cubex, Apple Vision Pro) to assist you with callbacks, scribing, and patient care. You'll have access to the best technology, a warm and welcoming clinic environment, and a hands-on supportive team.  Above all, you'll be provided with the autonomy to practice your medicine how you see fit and be supported mentally, physically and financially.

What You'll Get

  • Competitive Pay: $160,000 - $180,000
  • ProSal with no negative accrual - giving doctors the opportunity to grow their earnings without the stress of carrying a deficit forward.

Work-Life Balance - No overnight shifts - No on call

  • Schedules released at least one month in advance
  • Flexible Scheduling Options
  • In-Clinic Pet Care Discount
  • Generous Employee Referral Bonus (up to $8,000)

Comprehensive Benefits

  • Medical, Dental & Vision Plans

Mental health support programs

  • 401(k) with partial employer match
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Commuter Benefits
  • Pet Bereavement Leave

Mentorship & Growth:

  • Personalized training and mentorship plans for vets post-internship, or at any stage in their career. You'll work with your clinic, regional, and national medical leaders to come up with a development plan that meets your goals.
  • Interested in advancing your dentistry skills? We'll prioritize attendance at our dental training labs in our national training center.
  • Want to say yes to that client that needs a cystotomy performed on their pet? We'll share access to our 3D immersive training library and schedule a time when we can perform it together.
  • Tell us how you'd like to grow and we will work with you to get you there.
  • Board-certified specialists whom you can reach out to for expertise on any case.
  • Opportunities for growth into leadership positions
  • Up to $3,000 CE Stipend + CE Time Off
  • CE Stipend and Production increases with tenure.
  • Internal Bond Vet Team RACE-approved CE.
  • If you didn't want to, you'd never have to attend CE outside Bond Vet's Bond Academy - there's more than enough CE to attend!

Other Perks
At Bond Vet, we believe the little things matter. We've designed our clinics and team experience to make everyday work life more comfortable, supportive, and fun.

  • A Fur-ever Home Feeling: A welcoming, supportive culture where people-and their pets-truly belong.
  • FIGS Scrubs Provided: Premium FIGS scrubs supplied by us and laundered in-clinic so you can focus on patients, not laundry.
  • Stocked Pantries: Snacks, drinks, and essentials always available to keep you fueled during shifts.
  • Weekend Team Lunch: Free lunch provided for clinic teams on weekends.
  • Stocked Bathrooms: Thoughtful essentials like pads, tampons, deodorant, hair ties, and other toiletries available when you need them.
  • Bond Swag Credit: Credit to the Bond swag shop so you can rep the brand you're proud to be part of.
  • Pet & Chosen Family Bereavement Leave: Time to grieve and care for what matters most.
  • Leadership That Sets Us Apart: Our leaders are hands-on, supportive, and invested in your growth.
  • Support near and far. We have a highly-skilled remote team of nurses to lend support with client needs, triaging cases, and assisting with day-to-day tasks when things get busy in the clinic.
  • Direct communication with leadership and influence over policies. If you're thoughtful, we're listening - let's build a better vet clinic together.

What We're Looking For

  • Veterinary Medical Degree (DVM/VMD or foreign equivalent)
  • State licensure that is in good standing OR eligibility for such licensure
  • At least 1 year of experience practicing as a Veterinarian in a clinical setting.
    • If you have less than 1 year of experience please review our Early Career Program here.
  • A passion for Bond Vet's mission to provide a superior vet experience for both patients and employees.
  • The ability to multi-task with a high degree of integrity and accountability.
  • A collaborative mindset.
