About the Role:

The Animal Eye Care Vet Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality care to animals. This position involves assisting with front desk, routine procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of animal patients. The Vet Assistant will be responsible for preparing animals for examinations, administering medications as directed, and monitoring their condition throughout their visit. Additionally, this role requires effective communication with pet owners to provide instructions and support regarding animal care. Ultimately, the Vet Assistant contributes to the smooth operation of the veterinary practice and the delivery of compassionate animal care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary or animal care setting.
  • Basic knowledge of animal handling and safety procedures.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners and veterinary staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Veterinary Assistant or completion of a related training program but not necessary.
