Job description

Project Manager Telecom Construction

Location: Seattle, WA ( Hybrid)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in telecommunications construction and infrastructure projects to manage end-to-end project delivery in the Seattle, WA market.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with telecom construction programs, wireless/fiber deployments, site development, outside plant (OSP) projects, or similar infrastructure initiatives. Experience with Verizon or other major telecommunications carriers is highly preferred.

This role will be responsible for coordinating construction activities, contractors, vendors, engineering teams, field personnel, permitting, schedules, budgets, and project deliverables to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage telecommunications construction and infrastructure projects from planning through final completion and closeout.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.

  • Coordinate with general contractors, construction crews, subcontractors, vendors, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders.

  • Oversee field construction activities and ensure work is progressing according to approved plans, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.

  • Manage project scope, changes, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables.

  • Coordinate site acquisition, permitting, engineering, construction, installation, testing, and project closeout activities.

  • Review construction plans, drawings, statements of work, project specifications, and related documentation.

  • Track contractor performance, project costs, material requirements, schedules, and construction milestones.

  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide clear reporting to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Identify project delays, construction risks, and resource constraints and develop appropriate recovery plans.

  • Coordinate resolution of field issues involving construction, engineering, permitting, materials, access, and site readiness.

  • Ensure projects comply with applicable safety, quality, construction, and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage punch-list activities, acceptance, documentation, and final project closeout.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular status updates, forecasts, and KPI reporting.
