Summary:
Performs pre-registration and insurance verification functions for inpatients/outpatients in order to ensure the integrity of demographic and financial information gathered to ensure payment from the payors in addition to communicating to the regional financial counselors to communicate patient responsibilities or follow-up. Ensures appropriate notification and communication about status and where to send clinical information to obtain authorization from the various payors.
Experience:
Essential:
* One year experience preferred in the following areas:
  • Wound care burn care surgery or outpatient hospital experience
  • Prior authorization experience
  • Appeals and denial management
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience with EPIC
