Job description

Job Title: Verifications Associate – Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT)
Location: Canton, OH
Department: Customer Service / Call Center
Reports To: Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Verifications Associate to join our team at ReliaRide Medical Transportation. In this role, you will be responsible for contacting clients to confirm upcoming medical appointments, providing essential information, and addressing any inquiries or concerns related to appointments and travel to those appointments. This position requires excellent communication skills, a compassionate approach, and the ability to manage a high volume of calls in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contact Clients: Call clients to confirm scheduled medical appointments, providing details such as date, time, and location.
  • Using technology: Using proprietary scheduling software, enter, update, and troubleshoot issues for client trips for same, next, and future day trips. Identify errors and fix them for the greater good of the company and its clients.
  • Verify Information: Confirm client’s personal information (e.g., name, date of birth, insurance information) to ensure accuracy.
  • Educate Clients: Assist clients by empowering them with knowledge regarding how to schedule transportation, fix errors with future trips, etc.
  • Document Changes: Record trip confirmations, cancellations, and other pertinent trip data accurately in the system. Ensure that paperwork is filed properly and reflects most recent version of trip.
  • Handle Inquiries: Answer basic questions from clients regarding their upcoming trip or company policies.
  • Follow-Up: Make follow-up calls to clients who have not confirmed their trips.
  • Maintain Patient Privacy: Ensure all communication complies with HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  • Report Issues: Notify your direct supervisor of any issues or concerns raised by clients during the call so that relevant parties can be brought in at the management level.
  • Track and Meet Targets: Strive to maximize call volume while maintaining accuracy of trip information entry and changes.
  • Co-worker Relations: Maintain a positive, neighborly environment with your co-workers. Handle disputes according to handbook policies. Work through your manager when concerning behavior is displayed by co-workers
  • Other duties as assigned


Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (required);
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to speak clearly, professionally, and empathetically with patients.
  • Excellent Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in confirming and entering patient information.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using phone systems, CRM software, basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office suite), and Google Suite (e.g., Google Sheets)
