The company's Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global's modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

Summary
The Staff Production Engineer will report to the Principal Production Engineer, Production Excellence and will be supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our LNG liquefaction facility. This role will play a critical part in driving the successful adoption of newly developed engineering systems and digital tools. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical development teams and end users, ensuring that new technologies are implemented smoothly, understood clearly, and embedded into day-to-day engineering workflows.
This role blends deep production engineering knowledge with a growing suite of digital tools to optimize and monitor plant performance in real-time, along with additional responsibilities for ensuring plant operations remain program compliant and that the production volumes are delivered in a safe and reliable manner. The ideal candidate brings experience in LNG or hydrocarbon processing, a strong grasp of process fundamentals, and a passion for using data to improve operations. This is a fast-paced environment requiring drive, enthusiasm, willingness to learn and grow rapidly.
The successful candidate will work alongside operations and engineering teams as well as collaborate with business intelligence, data engineering, and machine learning specialists in IT -to drive adoption of tools that drive performance and unlock insights from our production systems. Other elements may involve process modeling and simulation to understand plant performance, optimize production, and support day-to-day application of plant models while contributing to real-time operational decisions and supporting long-term/high impact decision making.
General Description Duties & Responsibilities
  • Help develop tools and systems that track and improve LNG production performance, including dashboards, automated reports, as well as sophisticated AI and physics-based systems
  • Develop and execute adoption strategies, including communication plans, training approaches, and user engagement activities
  • Coordinate multi-discipline reviews to evaluate potential changes to provide final recommendation for execution of the change
  • Translate operating data into actionable insights that improve plant reliability, availability, and throughput
  • Share learnings across teams and contribute to standardizing best practices across facilities
  • Assist in evaluating the impact of process changes, debottlenecking studies and efficiency improvements
  • Partner with engineering, IT, product, and business stakeholders to assess change impacts and adoption risks
  • Develop and execute adoption strategies, including communication plans, training approaches, and user engagement activities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong decision making/problem solving skills with an ability to communicate complex issues to a non-technical audience
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual tracking and reporting processes, improving accuracy and timeliness of information
  • Travel to all our Louisiana LNG Facilities as needed

Qualifications
Required experience
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering with demonstrable success improving LNG plant operations using data, analytics, or automation. Advanced degrees (master's in engineering or MBA) preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in change management, technology adoption, digital transformation, or similar roles
  • Develop and execute adoption strategies, including communication plans, training approaches, and user engagement activities
  • Working knowledge of production systems, control room operations, and key process equipment (e.g., heat exchangers, compressors, refrigeration systems)
  • Familiarity with data and reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI, process modeling tools such as Unisim or HYSYS
  • High level of energy and motivation to excel within the organization

$183,000 - $225,000
