Job description

Maintenance Electrician


Venture Dynamics is seeking experienced Maintenance Electricians for full-time opportunities supporting commercial, industrial, residential, and maritime operations. This position is based in a fast-paced environment requiring hands-on experience with electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. The Maintenance Electrician will perform work in accordance with electrical drawings, schematics, and applicable electrical codes while supporting maintenance and production operations. Assignments are project-based and may continue based on performance and contract demand.


Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical components, controllers, and related systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams
  • Plan electrical installations and develop material lists for projects
  • Install and maintain phone and data cabling systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance to support equipment reliability and operational efficiency
  • Troubleshoot electrical failures and diagnose system issues in commercial, industrial, and residential environments
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and completed work activities

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of electrical maintenance and repair experience
  • Commercial, industrial, or residential electrical experience required
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and electrical drawings
  • Experience with controller installation and repairs
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting methods, and electrical codes
  • Experience with phone and data cabling installation preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or technical training
  • Experience working in industrial facilities, commercial buildings, or maritime environments
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred
  • Experience supporting shipyard, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance operations
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, overtime, weekends, and on-call assignments as needed

Additional Information

Work is performed in commercial, industrial, residential, and maritime environments supporting maintenance and repair operations. Duties may involve confined or elevated spaces, active production areas, and physically demanding conditions. PPE is required in accordance with site safety policies, and respiratory protection may be required based on task or location. Reliable transportation is required to report to assigned project locations. Work schedules may include overtime, nights, weekends, and variable shifts based on operational needs.
