Professionals in this field work with HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Their duties include ductwork installation, air filter replacement, system inspections, and troubleshooting airflow issues. Proper ventilation is essential for energy efficiency, air circulation, and occupant health.
What does ventilation do?
Professionals in Ventilation roles generally spend their days installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and air quality systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Daily tasks include inspecting equipment, diagnosing issues, cleaning or replacing filters and ducts, and ensuring systems comply with safety and efficiency standards. You may also interact closely with building managers, other technicians, and clients to discuss project requirements and provide recommendations for improving air quality. The work environment can vary from job sites to client locations, often requiring adaptability and teamwork. Successful Ventilation professionals balance hands-on technical work with clear communication and a strong focus on safety.
