Administrative Support-Risk Management (TN, Chattanooga)
TN, Chattanooga
The Administrative Support-Risk Management position will assist the Risk Management Department with the day-to-day administration of the Risk, Safety, and Fleet daily tasks. This position will be responsible for the research, analysis, and reporting of factual data and will carry out routine tasks such as; communicating internally and externally on company Drug and BAT Testing, Third Party verifications, communicating with internal personnel and reporting on Safety KPI's, STARS Training support, property leases, and other job duties (as assigned). The position will also be responsible for updating departmental files, maintaining schedules and databases consistent with the job function.
This position will report to the Vice-President of Risk, Safety, and Fleet to assist in the functions of Risk, Safety, and Fleet Management. This includes aiding in the management of the following:
• Departmental Data Entry, Tracking and Reporting
• Drug and BAT testing in keeping with company policy, FMCSA, and 49CFR
• Third party (client required) insurance and employee training verifications
• Track and report on Safety KPI's and STARS Training at all Five Star locations
• Track and support the VP of Risk, Safety, and Fleet on property leases and renewals
• Assist on annual insurance renewals and annual OSHA reports
Duties and Responsibilities
-Manage daily activities of drug and BAT testing consistent with Five Star procedures and DOT requirements. Acting as assistant to the Five Star Designated Employer Representative (DER)
-Review and maintain current knowledge of Five Star property leases (i.e. term dates, etc.) working closely with the VP of Risk, Safety, and Fleet.
-Track and report on KPI data pertaining to each division, region, and overall company.
-Remain familiar with current and relevant Five Star policies, practices and procedures.
-Maintain compliance through the various Third-Party sites related to OSHA logs, safety programs, insurance and employee training. This includes working directly with the third-party vendor, the client, and internally.
-Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
-Any other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
-4-6 years related work experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of related education/training/experience. (Relevant degree preferred)
-Demonstrated expertise working within all levels of a corporation.
-Established research, analytical, writing, and implementation skills.
-Intermediate PC skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint).
-Detail oriented with excellent oral and written communication, organization, prioritization, multi-tasking, and decision-making skills.
-Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Certification(s) & Other Requirements
-A valid Tennessee, Georgia, or Alabama driver's license and demonstrate safe and responsible operation of motor vehicles. May operate motor vehicles during normal working hours in order to perform various tasks assigned.
-Ability to learn and practice risk management techniques.
-Drug and BAT experience preferred
-Ability to understand complex legal documents and insurance policies, procedures, principles and terminology as well as a high degree of thoroughness and accuracy is required. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality or records and information.
