Job description

The ideal Poke House candidate will:

  • Work, operate, and delivery to multiple Poke House locations, such as restaurants, offices, and warehouses
  • Deliver a wide variety of both food and non-food items to multiple restaurants
  • Review and load orders before and after deliveries to each restaurant to ensure accuracy
  • Strategically load vehicles, preventing any spills or accidents
  • Exercise special care and punctuality when delivering all products
  • Use respectful and professional communication with coworkers and management staff
  • Maintain a professional presentation and clean appearance
  • Ensure proper hand-washing and general hygiene to maintain food safety
  • Wear safety-approved work attire, including non-slip shoes or boots
  • Safely drive with full awareness and mindfully follow all local and state laws at all times
  • Follow all food safety requirements, guidelines, and procedures set forth by Poke House, local, state, and federal employment regulations
  • Uphold the integrity of the food with brand standards, techniques, and adherence to local and state laws
  • Keep the company vehicle clean, notify management if maintenance or repairs are necessary, and add fuel as needed
  • Communicate clearly and in a timely manner by phone to update all teams with the status of the deliveries
  • Perform other specified tasks outlined in notes or delivery memos, such as inventory management and organization; assist management team with additional projects and duties as needed
  • Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions. Load and unload packages to be delivered

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Authorized to work in the USA
  • Must have a valid driver license
  • Be able to communicate in the primary language(s) of the work location
  • 1+ year of professional driving experience preferred, but not required)
  • 1+ year of material handler experience preferred, but not required)
  • Open and flexible availability required (variable hours/days, including early mornings, weekends, overtime, and holidays, as needed)
  • Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality every day
  • Able to work quickly and embrace new lessons and best practices and collaborate with the team
  • Physical requirements: Ability to work in standing and seated positions for long periods of time; must have ability to kneel, reach, bend, push, pull, and lift (up to 50 lbs)
