Job description

Temporary Transportation Driver

The Transportation Driver will provide the transportation of patients to and from hospitals, medical offices, dialysis centers and private residences in a safe, secure, and professional manner.

Essential Duties:

  • Provides a high level of customer service and assistance while transporting residents to and from activities, appointments, and other outings in accordance with safety standards.
  • Is responsible for the safety of residents at all times. Monitors resident safety on the bus, while boarding and departing the vehicle as well as the entrance and exit of buildings.
  • Responsible for general upkeep of the vehicle including inspections, regularly scheduled maintenance, and all required paperwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Active Illinois Driver's License, meeting DOT required vehicle licensure and physical.
  • Must be between the age of twenty-five (25) and seventy-four (74) per facility insurance requirements.
  • Experience as a bus or van driver preferred.
