Job description

Position Summary

E-Logic, Inc. is seeking experienced Relocation Drivers / Truck Operators to support the relocation of Joseph C. Briscoe School in Baltimore, Maryland. This position is responsible for the safe operation of 26-foot box trucks, ensuring the timely transportation of school furniture, equipment, and supplies between project locations while maintaining vehicle safety and coordinating with the project team.

Essential DutiesDriving & Transportation
  • Operate 26-foot box trucks between the project locations:
  • Origin: 900 Druid Hill Ave, Baltimore, MD 21201
  • Destination: 2201 N. Warwick Ave, Baltimore, MD 21216
  • Maintain continuous truck rotation throughout the project.
  • Plan efficient travel routes and report movement status to the Project Manager.
  • Arrive on site by 8:30 AM each workday.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Properly load, secure, and transport cargo using tie-downs, straps, padding, and other appropriate materials.
Material Handling Support
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
  • Position trucks safely at loading and unloading areas.
  • Coordinate deliveries and pickups with supervisors at both project locations.
  • Operate support vans when required.
Operational Requirements
  • Follow instructions provided by the Project Manager or On-Site Supervisor.
  • Do not communicate directly with school staff.
  • Attend daily end-of-day team huddles.
  • Maintain a valid CDL and a clean driving record.
  • Wear the required uniform and ID badge at all times.
  • Successfully complete a criminal background check and fingerprinting before beginning work.
Physical Requirements
  • Sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds during loading and unloading.
  • Repeatedly climb in and out of the truck cab and cargo area.
  • Maintain good vision and hearing necessary for safe vehicle operation.
Qualifications
  • Valid CDL Class B (or equivalent) required.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations within the past three years.
  • Minimum of two years of experience operating 26-foot box trucks or larger.
  • Previous moving or hauling experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Baltimore area preferred.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Work Schedule
  • July 27: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • July 28 - August 3: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Evening or weekend work may be required with written authorization.
