Summary
The Operations Supervisor at Port Hueneme, CA, is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all production-related activities associated with the site in order to ensure continuous production. This position will oversee production staff and instruct workers to use equipment or perform technical procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Direct Operational and Production-Related Activities
    • Meet production goals
    • Resolves unusual or nonscheduled customer requests, and respond with creative ideas to overcome challenges with workflow
    • Understands, implements, and maintains safe work practices
    • Supervise full-time and temporary employees, oversee and instruct on proper vehicle processing procedures
    • Hiring employees, scheduling work, and overseeing performance management initiatives
    • Ensure employees are accurately clocking in and out
    • Optimize work schedules to match staffing levels, create work assignments and monitor progress to improve work process efficiency
    • Coordinates with other departments and customers to meet production goals
    • Conduct employee observations to ensure safety and productivity procedures are being followed; documents and discuss results with employees
    • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
  • Production Reporting
    • Provide periodic updates of vehicle processing tender goals in order to meet customer deadlines
    • Performs administrative activities, including reviewing and providing status reports to next level management
    • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs
    • Responds effectively and courteously to customer service inquiries, requests or complaints
    • Investigates accidents, injuries or property damage claims on behalf of management
    • Special projects as assigned and cover other areas of production as needed
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Responds to unsafe conditions or hazardous waste
    • Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials
    • Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations
    • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Compensation Range
$65,000 - $84,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
