Job description

The Kona Ice Event & Operations Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day operations across our fleet of Kona Ice entertainment vehicles, including team leadership, event coordination, hub operations, inventory management, and customer experience.


This role blends:

Operations leadership

Hub and logistics management

Event coordination

Community engagement



Key Responsibilities


Team Leadership

Hire, train, and develop Kona Ice drivers and event crew

Foster a positive, high-energy team culture

Create schedules and ensure proper staffing for events

Coach team members to deliver excellent customer service

Conduct performance feedback and team training



Event & Operations Management

Coordinate daily truck routes and event logistics

Ensure trucks are fully stocked and ready before events

Oversee event setup, service flow, and breakdown

Monitor event performance and sales results

Support relationships with schools, sports leagues, and community partners



Operations Hub & Logistics Management

Oversee operations hub organization and operational readiness

Manage inventory including syrups, cups, spoons, napkins, and supplies

Ensure trucks are properly stocked and staged for events

Coordinate receiving and storage of inventory shipments

Maintain inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed

Ensure operations hub cleanliness, safety, and efficiency

Organize truck restocking and post-event inventory reconciliation

Assist with equipment maintenance and operational readiness of trucks



Fleet Management

Ensure trucks are clean, organized, and operational

Track vehicle maintenance and service needs

Coordinate minor equipment repairs and preventative maintenance

Maintain operational readiness of machines, freezers, and equipment



Customer Experience & Community Engagement

Deliver fun, engaging customer experiences at events

Represent Kona Ice professionally in the community

Build relationships with schools, youth sports leagues, event organizers, and local businesses

Help grow Kona Ice's presence across the region

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications:

2+ years leadership or operations management experience

Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Ability to work weekends and seasonal peak periods



Physical Requirements

Ability to drive Kona Ice entertainment vehicles

Ability to lift 30-50 lbs of product or supplies

Ability to stand for extended periods during events

Comfortable working outdoors and in a warehouse environment
