Job Title:ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Inventory Coordinator

Department: ย ย ย  Motorcycle Sales

Supervisor: ย ย ย ย ย  General Sales Manager

Summary Description

Manages new and used vehicle inventory and coordinates the maintenance and transfer of both new and used vehicle inventory levels for the dealership. Manages dealership onsite motorcycle inventory and ensures timely and proper display of motorcycles on site while coordinating sale of non-retail motorcycles and other trade-ins.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Daily
    • Update website inventory, craigslist, and eBay.
    • Photographs - Videos - Narrative - New inventory for all dealerships.
    • Appraisal & purchases of incoming trades.
    • Monitor UVCs through service to ensure quick turnaround to floor.
    • Ensure all the colors and models are on the showroom floor.
    • Ensure new, used, and accessorized bikes are properly tagged.
    • Coordinate dealer trades and direct drivers and porters.
    • Coordinate auction bikes and shipping.
    • Coordinate wholesale and shipping.
    • Direct porters with staging and loading of wholesale bikes.
    • Assists General Manager and Event Coordinator with pictures needed for promotions.
  • Weekly
    • Organize the order of incoming new bikes being built for the floor.
    • Suggest and monitor accessorized new bikes through service.
    • Ensure inside showroom and outside showroom bikes are all on display organized by family and model, clean and keep presentable.
    • Ensure all new and used bikes waiting on service are organized in designated spots.
    • Coordinate used bikes that need cleaning or attention.
    • Do walk around videos with motorcycle sales staff for website.
    • Coordinate and ensure timeliness of sale of all non-motorcycle trade-ins and other items.
  • Monthly
    • Maintain the sell/transfer list on H-Dnet.
    • Coordinate onsite inventory trades between TMC dealerships based on needs.
    • Monitor inventory on TMC websites to ensure properly listed and correct number of used bikes are on the sites.
    • Conducts Monthly inventory audit for dealership.
    • Develop relationships with other H-D dealerships, Metric Dealerships and wholesalers to find outlets for inventory.
    • Handle Special projects as needed.
    • Assist in day to day operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualificationsย &ย Job Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and motorcycle endorsement.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, along with general email/internet.
  • Experience using various Google Drive applications to include but not limited to Google Sheets and Google Docs a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with sales of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and other products and services sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them.
  • Passion for the motorcycling lifestyle and riding community.
  • Proficient in meeting deadlines on a timely manner.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and relationship with all other employees.
  • Capable of pushing and loading motorcycles.

Physical Demands

  • Requires the use of both hands.
  • Frequently required to bend, stop, crouch, reach, handle tools and lift 50lbs of material.
  • Requires the ability to balance and push a 800+lb motorcycle.

Working Conditions

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • Potential exposure to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department.
  • Occasionally exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.
  • Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
