Key responsibilities

  • Assemble and integrate electrical systems across vehicle platforms including power distribution, sensors, communications, and compute hardware

  • Build and install wiring harnesses, connectors, and cable management systems

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues across prototypes and deployed systems

Job description

The future of defense will be decided by those who field intelligent machines at scale. At Scout AI, we're developing Fury, the first robotic foundation model for defense, to give U.S. forces overwhelming, adaptable, and autonomous power across every domain. Fury enables human operators to command fleets of robots through natural language, and empowers those machines to sense, decide, and act together as one. This mission will ask everything of us: urgency, precision, and relentless work.
The Role
You will be responsible for electrical integration, system assembly, and operational readiness of Scout AI's robotic platforms. This role requires hands-on experience working with automotive electrical systems, wiring harnesses, sensors, power systems, and robotics hardware. You'll play a critical role in bridging engineering development and real-world deployment ensuring systems are built correctly, tested thoroughly, and ready for mission operations.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble and integrate electrical systems across vehicle platforms including power distribution, sensors, communications, and compute hardware
  • Build and install wiring harnesses, connectors, and cable management systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues across prototypes and deployed systems
  • Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of vehicle platforms and subsystems
  • Install sensors, compute modules, radios, motor controllers, and more
  • Support final system integration before deployment
  • Maintain documentation for wiring diagrams, build procedures, and integration processes
  • Conduct hardware validation and integration tests across vehicle subsystems
  • Support test campaigns and debugging efforts with engineering teams
  • Assist in identifying and resolving system-level integration issues

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive, electrical, or robotics technician roles
  • Experience assembling and troubleshooting electrical systems and wiring harnesses
  • Familiarity with electronics tools (crimpers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering equipment)
  • Experience reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Hands-on experience assembling complex electromechanical systems
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
  • Passion about defense of the United States and its allies
  • May be expected to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance

Why Join Scout
  • Work on the frontier of autonomous defense systems
  • Help build and deploy the first robotic foundation model for defense
  • Collaborate with leading engineers in robotics, AI, and autonomy
  • See your work deployed on real-world systems
  • Be part of a team shaping the future of intelligent machines

Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package including base salary and bonus
  • Meaningful equity
  • Premium medical, dental, and vision plans with $0 paycheck contribution
  • Competitive PTO and company holiday calendar
  • Catered lunch daily and fully stocked kitchen
  • EV charging
