Position Description:
  • The Advanced Vehicle Dynamics Engineer is responsible for benchmarking and concept evaluation for chassis and suspension systems for future vehicle programs.
  • It is integral to have strong knowledge of suspension and chassis architecture and components, and strong understanding of cause and effect.
  • Responsibilities include target setting, tire specification, CoG calculations, hard point definition and more leveraging subjective vehicle assessments, objective test data analysis and vehicle dynamics principles.
  • Hands-on and driving, physical testing, modeling and simulation experience is all valuable in this role.
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally is also a must in this position.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited university or equivalent
  • Experience in automotive engineering product development
  • Suspension architecture knowledge and development experience
  • Vehicle Ride and Handling - Tuning or Development Experience
  • Target Setting Experience for Ride and Handling
  • K&C Experience
  • Knowledge of Modal Alignment and NVH Fundamentals
  • Proactive and Reactive problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience from cross functional interaction

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master of Science Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited university
  • Simulation Experience in ADAMS or similar MBD software
  • Racing experience/background
  • Teamcenter experience
