Vector Medical is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at our state-of-the-art surgical center located in Waukegan, Illinois. Our Waukegan surgical center offers an onsite, dynamic work environment where collaboration and professional development are central to everyday operations. You will work a 40-hour week with no on-call responsibilities, allowing you to engage fully in patient care without the pressures of after-hours work. This clinic-based practice is dedicated exclusively to women’s health, ensuring a focused approach to patient care.

• Manage a designated patient panel, addressing their medical needs and providing continuity of care.
• Respond to physician overflow, augmenting support where necessary, all while being backed by full Medical Doctor support.
• Engage in a variety of procedures within your scope, including IUD placements, Nexplanon insertions, endometrial and vulvar biopsies, women’s wellness assessments, and colposcopies if trained.
• Utilize your skills in a completely clinic-based practice, maximizing your ability to impact patient health outcomes directly.
• Participate in proactive discussions and decisions regarding patient care in collaboration with your peers and attending physicians, enhancing teamwork and patient satisfaction.
• Take part in the APC council, a group dedicated to supporting and mentoring advanced practice clinicians.

As a Physician Assistant at Vector Medical, you will serve a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on women's health. This includes prenatal care, reproductive health, and overall wellness. Your work will have a direct impact on the lives of patients, providing necessary care and education to empower women in managing their health.

• Current Physician Assistant Certification is required.
• A Bachelor’s Degree with a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program is mandatory.
• Unrestricted state medical license to practice in Illinois.
• A commitment to full COVID-19 vaccination, adhering to regulations applicable in your state.
• Demonstrated skills in active listening, critical thinking, effective communication, and time management.

• A minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience, particularly in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system is advantageous.
