About Us
Vector Fence is a subsidiary of Fence OKC. We are leaders in high-security fencing, gate automation, and access control solutions for commercial, industrial, and government clients. We also complete residential projects with the same high standards. We are committed to quality, safety, and professionalism in every job we do.
Position Summary
The Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing a fence installation crew to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to company quality standards. This role requires hands-on leadership, construction expertise, and the ability to train, motivate, and hold team members accountable. The Crew Leader is the key link between field operations and project management, ensuring that jobsite activities align with plans, specifications, and company expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
• Lead and supervise a crew of installers on commercial, industrial, and residential fencing projects.
• Interpret project plans, specifications, and work orders to direct daily tasks.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Warehouse staff for material needs and scheduling.
• Manage time on site to meet project deadlines and productivity goals.
Quality & Safety
• Ensure all work meets Fence OKC quality standards and client specifications.
• Enforce OSHA safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company safety policies.
• Conduct daily Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and safety toolbox talks.
• Report and address any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.
Hands-On Installation
• Participate in all phases of fence installation, including layout, digging, setting posts, stretching wire, and gate installation.
• Operate equipment such as skid steers, post drivers, and power tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues to avoid project delays.
Team Management & Training
• Provide direction, training, and mentoring to crew members.
• Monitor performance and give constructive feedback.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in fence installation or related construction trade.
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and material lists.
• Proficient in the safe use of construction tools and equipment.
• OSHA 10 or 30 preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL a plus).
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
• Lift up to 80 lbs. regularly.
• Stand, kneel, bend, and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods.
• Operate machinery and tools safely.
