Job description

Role Overview

  • The Test Tool Developer/Integrator is a hands-on services engineer within theย TIAT team, responsible for the development, integration, debugging, and deployment ofย test automation solutions (HW and SW)ย used to validate product features and systems.
  • The role requires close collaboration with Client TIAT teams worldwide and regular interaction with Validation, System Test, System Integration Test, and Quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review test automation requirements provided by project test teams
  • Design and develop automation solutions following Client standard architectures
  • HW procurement, inventory control, and shipment coordination
  • HW and SW integration of test benches and setups
  • Effort and cost estimation for automation development
  • Creation and maintenance of automation coverage timing plans
  • Continuous status reporting to stakeholders and escalation when needed
  • Ensure quality, validation, documentation, and SVN backup of solutions
  • Support development, deployment, and maintenance of test benches in Troy and customer locations
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, Environmental, Customer, and Regulatory requirements

Supported Test Tools (not limited to)

  • System validation test benches (HIL closed loop, reinjection HIL, system integration, calibration benches, CI/CT benches)
  • DV / PV / EMC test benches
  • Vehicle rest bus simulation
  • Vehicle recording systems and ground truth reference systems
  • Virtual validation tools (SIL, virtual sensors, models)
  • Injection and acquisition tools for test data
  • Software development supporting all test solutions

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong proven experience with LabVIEW and TestStand
  • Strong programming skills (Python, C++, CAPL, etc.)
  • Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet)
  • Solid knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, and network switches
  • Experience with A2B and analog audio
  • Proven experience designing and developing testing solutions
  • Strong hands-on, proactive, and innovative mindset
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
