We are seeking a Director of Construction Services to lead and grow a Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) program in Virginia. This role is responsible for building a construction services program, overseeing delivery of roadway and bridge construction services contracts, and strengthening relationships with VDOT, transportation agencies, and local municipalities across the Commonwealth. What You'll Do

  • Lead and expand a Virginia construction services program with a long-term growth mindset
  • Oversee delivery of Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services for VDOT and local municipalities
  • Provide executive oversight of roadway and bridge construction projects, ensuring compliance with VDOT standards, schedules, budgets, and quality expectations
  • Serve as a trusted partner to VDOT and public-sector clients
  • Lead, mentor, and grow construction management and inspection staff in Virginia
  • Support business development efforts, including pursuits, proposals, and strategic planning
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to align operations with organizational goals

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Significant experience with VDOT roadway and bridge construction
  • Demonstrated experience delivering CEI services for public-sector transportation clients
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and grow a construction services program or business unit
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (Virginia or ability to obtain)
  • Established relationships within VDOT or Virginia transportation agencies
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects or programs across a region or state
