Position Description:

A VDC/BIM Coordinator will be an integral team member in the continued growth of the E3M Solutions engineering team both on internal turn-key projects and external engineering projects (design/build, design/assist, bid/spec).


Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate systems integration with other disciplines
  • Designing sustainable solutions while maintaining fiscal responsibility and meeting client expectations

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Prepares layouts, details, schedules, drawings and other documents of mechanical, plumbing, and/or electrical systems
  • Completes reviews of BIM Execution Plans to ensure projects follow customer project requirements and standards
  • Creates and maintains documentation related to BIM processes, workflows and standards for the project
  • Achieve spatial coordination of all trades with General Contractor and subcontractors
  • Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications
  • Generate RFIs to be submitted to the design team
  • Create detailed shop drawings for fabrication and installation of associated trades
  • Generate Trimble (or similar) Field Points
  • Occasionally visits job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress
  • Assist in maintaining standards & tools for engineering
  • Participate in conceptual development meetings with E3M team, clients and contractors
  • Work in R&D efforts on new technologies and opportunities
  • Perform other tasks and items necessary in a small business


Position Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Science, or Technology - Preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of BIM and a track record of technical excellence in such field
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, Navis Works or similar applications
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical/plumbing and energy codes and standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, etc) & Bluebeam Revu
