Job description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Records all cash coming into and out of the vault; maintains accurate inventory and
balance of monies and cash equivalents received.
• Responsible for preparing the daily deposit, deposit slip and armored transport slip for
verification by the Cage Supervisor. Maintains custody of the daily deposit until
armored transport pick up.
• Responsible for the verification of Hard and Soft Count funds brought into the Vault.
• Oversees the revenue reports prepared form all revenue departments including the
Hard and Soft Count.
• Coordinates pick up and drop off for courier service.
• Verifies all cashier transactions form the previous day operation.
• Performs fills and jackpots to electronic gaming devices.
• Safeguards casino assets.
• Utilizes proper communication with the Cage Supervisor on a daily basis.
• Complies with all established Internal Control Policies and Procedures.
• Counts and verifies all cash, coins, and shops in the Vault on a daily basis.
• Performs all duties, responsibilities, and requirements of a Cage cashier such as coin
redemption, Vault/Cage exchanges and payouts.
• Maintains confidentiality of all Casino Operations data.
• Stocks supplies weekly.
• Fills ATM's as needed.
• Issues additional cash to Cage Cashiers. Completes even exchanges to replenish
Cashier banks. Exchanges cash items redeemed by cashiers such as Traveler's
checks, coupons, Player's Club vouchers, etc.
• Prepares fills for all Kiosks, reconciles and balances the units at the end of each shift.
• Prepares fills and credits for issuance to Tables Games.
• Reviews the accuracy of recorded transactions to ensure that all required supporting
documents are attached.
• Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
• Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
• Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED plus two (2) years' experience as a cashier or bank teller
preferably in a casino or banking environment. Must meet all knowledge, skills and
abilities. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age. No felony, theft or stealing convictions.
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background
investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license. Navajo preference.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of basic accounting, math, and record keeping practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of casino software programs and equipment related to cage operations.
• Knowledge of vault procedures.
• Knowledge of gaming industry, cash handling and MICS.
• Knowledge and proficient in intermediate mathematics.
• Skill in cashier's vault operations and of applicable laws on vault and cage operations.
• Skill in problem solving and sound decision-making.
• Skill in typing and 10-key operation.
• Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including in a Windows
environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and presentation software (such as
PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to complete and pass a basic math assessment.
• Ability to complete and pass Title 31 training and assessment.
• Ability to operate a calculator, adding machine, and cash advance machines.
• Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying
social and cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict time lines.
• Ability to make solid decisions and exercise independent judgment.
