Job description

We are seeking a Senior IT Product Owner - CRM to lead the evolution of our next-generation CRM ecosystem built on Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, enabling the agentic future of CRM powered by Agentforce, Data Cloud (Data360), AI-driven automation, and an integrated commercial technology landscape. This role combines product ownership, technology leadership, and business partnership, shaping platform strategy while ensuring scalable delivery across global markets.

The Product Owner will define the CRM product vision, manage roadmap execution, and lead cross-functional teams delivering innovative capabilities across Commercial and Medical domains. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Product Ownership & Strategy Own the global CRM product vision, roadmap, and backlog aligned with AstraZeneca Commercial strategy. Drive adoption of Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, Agentforce automation, and Data Cloud capabilities.

Translate business outcomes into scalable product features and platform capabilities. Act as the primary interface between Business, IT, Architecture, and Delivery teams. Influence long-term CRM ecosystem strategy including integrations, AI enablement, and data activation.

Platform Innovation & Agentic CRM Enablement Identify platform exploitation and innovation opportunities across the enterprise. Promote adoption of unused or emerging Salesforce capabilities. Lead innovation assessments, pilots, and proof-of-concept initiatives.

Develop business cases for AI, automation, and intelligent workflow solutions. Champion the transition toward agentic CRM experiences leveraging: Agentforce digital agents Data Cloud (Data360) unified customer data Intelligent engagement orchestration Drive continuous innovation through product backlog prioritization and experimentation. Delivery Leadership Lead end-to-end product delivery across Design Build Test Deploy Operate lifecycle.

Provide functional and technical oversight of CRM configurations, customizations, and UX development. Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, scalability requirements, and compliance expectations. Coordinate global release planning across multiple delivery trains and markets.

Validate business and functional requirements throughout product development cycles. CRM Ecosystem & Integration Leadership Maintain deep understanding of the end-to-end CRM ecosystem including integrations and data flows. Provide expertise on integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, SnapLogic) supporting CRM orchestration

Drive simplification and modernization of the integration landscape. Enable data-driven engagement through Data Cloud activation and connected applications. Stakeholder & Vendor Management Serve as a trusted advisor to Commercial and Medical business stakeholders globally.

Manage relationships with third-party development and delivery suppliers. Ensure alignment with AZ IT governance, standards, validation expectations, and delivery processes. Support supplier selection, proposal evaluation, and delivery oversight.

Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and coach distributed application development teams. Foster product mindset adoption across engineering and delivery organizations. Improve delivery throughput, quality, and agile maturity.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation Lead continuous improvement initiatives across platform and product backlogs. Identify emerging technologies supporting evolving business capabilities. Influence enterprise technology roadmaps through innovation proposals.

Promote automation, AI adoption, and modern engineering practices. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Education & Background Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in CRM or related Customer Engagement processes.

Extensive experience in enterprise IT product ownership or CRM platform leadership. CRM & Platform Expertise Deep expertise in Salesforce ecosystem, preferably Life Sciences Cloud. Strong experience with Veeva CRM/Vault or global life sciences CRM platforms.

Salesforce certifications strongly preferred. Experience delivering global CRM implementations at scale. Understanding of Data Cloud / Data360, customer data platforms, or enterprise data activation.

Understanding of AI-enabled workflows, automation, or digital agents (Agentforce experience desirable). Experience shaping intelligent, data-driven customer engagement ecosystems. Experience with enterprise integration technologies (MuleSoft, SnapLogic or similar).

Knowledge of modern application design patterns and enterprise architecture principles. Experience with CI/CD and Agile delivery methodologies. Product & Leadership Skills Product Owner or Product Manager experience in large global organizations will be added advantage.

Stakeholder management across business and technical leadership. Proven ability to influence without authority in matrix environments. Experience managing external vendors and global delivery teams.

Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes. Expertise in Agile product delivery and scaled delivery models. Strong problem-solving mindset with focus on value realization.

Demonstrated experience driving innovation and organizational change. The annual base pay for this position ranges from $165,000 to $248,000 . Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives-an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles.
