Job description

TITLE: VAULT CASHIER
REVISED: June 14, 2024
APPROVED: October 1, 2024
The Vault Cashier is responsible for the following duties:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Keep an accurate inventory of the vault.
  2. Prepare banks and cassettes for distribution to cashiers and machines.
  3. Perform daily repays and reconcile all receipts.
  4. Ensure policies and procedures are applied consistently, equitable, and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  5. Reconcile/balance vault inventory daily.
  6. Pull and count all unfit money and prepare it to be returned to the bank.
  7. Held accountable to a high degree of accuracy for all transactions conducted.
  8. Perform duties of a Casino Cashier as needed.
  9. Maintain all cage department machines by performing minor maintenance, as well as performing fills, drops, and handling disputes.
  10. Occasionally steps in to assist in the absence of the Cage Supervisor.
  11. Facilitate the flow of information by attending regularly scheduled department meetings.
  12. Must attend and be certified in all applicable training programs required.
  13. Perform all other department duties assigned by immediate supervisor/manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Minimum age requirement is 21.
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  3. Minimum one (1) year prior cash handling experience.
  4. Must have strong guest service and interpersonal skills.
  5. Must be computer literate and proficient in 10-key.
  6. Must be able to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL:
  1. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is required to talk and hear.
  2. Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  3. Occasionally required to climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  4. Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
  5. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
  6. Noise level is moderate to high on the casino floor.
  7. Exposed daily to flashing lights, ringing bells and cigarette smoke.
  8. Must be able to perform all essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
