Takeout Clerk

As a Takeout Clerk, you'll create enjoyable experiences by ensuring every order is accurate, complete, and served with the friendly hospitality Bavarian Inn is known for. Whether you're helping a family pick up dinner, assisting a guest with menu questions, or delivering a curbside order with a smile, you'll play an important role in every guest's experience.

Pay & Schedule

· Wage: $12.00/Hour + Tips In addition to hourly wage, Takeout Clerks earn an average of $30-$60 in tips per shift.

· Part Time: 15-35 hours per week

· Typical Shift Times: 10:30am-4pm; 4pm-9:30pm; 12pm-7pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests in person and over the phone with friendly, genuine hospitality.
  • Take guest orders, answer menu questions, and make recommendations
  • Learn our menu, ingredients, and common allergens to confidently assist guests.
  • Accurately enter orders into point of sale system and communicate special requests or allergies to kitchen.
  • Carefully review every order for accuracy, quality, and completeness, ensuring entrées, sides, beverages, condiments, utensils, and special requests are included before it leaves the restaurant.
  • Package orders to maintain food quality, keeping hot foods hot and cold foods cold
  • Deliver orders to guests inside the restaurant or through curbside pickup.
  • Process guest payments accurately and responsibly
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area.
  • Work together with fellow team members to ensure orders are prepared and delivered on time.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be at least 17 years of age (alcohol sales).

  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of your shift.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Uniform

Black dress pants and black slip-resistant shoes are required. A Bavarian Inn blue polo shirt is provided.
