The Role

We are seeking a Strategic Account Executive to own and expand a portfolio of high‑value, strategic enterprise accounts. The mandate is clear: drive direct revenue, expand footprint, and position VAST as the foundational data platform for AI and data‑intensive environments.

This AE will develop and execute multi‑year account strategies, drive large‑scale transactions, and build executive‑level relationships across engineering, IT, and infrastructure leadership. Success in this role requires the ability to operate at both high altitude (strategy, executive alignment) and low altitude (deal orchestration, execution).

This is a high‑visibility, high‑impact role focused on revenue growth and long‑term platform entrenchment within some of the most important accounts in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Account Leadership

  • Own and execute global, multi-year account plans across a defined set of strategic accounts
  • Map, build, and influence executive, technical, and procurement stakeholders
  • Identify whitespace, drive account penetration, and expand VAST’s footprint across business units
  • Establish VAST as a long-term platform standard within customer environments

Revenue & Deal Execution

  • Drive net-new and expansion revenue across assigned accounts
  • Lead complex, multi-threaded enterprise sales cycles
  • Structure and close large, multi-year, multi-product agreements
  • Maintain disciplined forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and deal rigor

Technical Positioning

  • Position VAST for AI/ML, analytics, HPC, and large-scale data workloads
  • Partner closely with Solutions Engineering to design scalable, differentiated architectures
  • Translate VAST’s technical differentiation into clear business outcomes

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Executive leadership to support strategic deals
  • Provide structured customer insight to inform product direction and roadmap priorities
  • Coordinate effectively across field, partner, and executive teams to drive outcomes

Requirements

  • 10+ years of enterprise infrastructure or data platform sales experience
  • Proven track record closing $10M+ strategic deals within complex organizations
  • Experience owning and expanding large, named or strategic accounts
  • Strong fluency in AI infrastructure, data platforms, analytics, and/or HPC environments
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate multi-stakeholder environments and drive consensus
  • Executive presence with disciplined account planning and deal execution
