Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a Windows Server Engineer to design, implement, and maintain an enterprise-grade Windows Server environment. You will be the primary authority on all things’ Windows server. Your mission is to minimize downtime and ensure that the on-premises "private cloud" delivers the same reliability as public cloud offerings.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy Windows Server instances on physical hardware and VMware virtualization platforms.
  • Administer enterprise-level DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (IP Address Management) to ensure reliable network connectivity.
  • Implement security baselines (STIGs/CIS), manage WSUS for centralized patching, and ensure SOC 2 or internal audit compliance.
  • Manage on-premises backup solutions and execute regular restoration drills to ensure "Zero Data Loss."
  • Coordinate with vendors for physical server repairs, firmware updates, and data center capacity planning (power/cooling).
  • Monitor system health (CPU, Memory, Disk I/O) and optimize server configurations for specific roles like File/Print, SQL, or IIS.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of four (4) years in systems engineering with a heavy focus on on-premises data centers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field. 
  • Deep knowledge of Windows Server Core and Desktop Experience versions.
  • Solid understanding of VLANs, subnetting, load balancing, and firewall rules within a local data center context.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell for bulk administration and task automation.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • Security+ CE desired.
  • Hybrid position at San Antonio, Taxes.
