Job description

Transportation Van Drivers
LOCATION OF WORK:        Transportation at District Office
STARTING DATE:                2026 / 2027 School Year
WORK HOURS:                   10 months / 4 - 6 hours a day / Part Time, Full Time
RANGE OF PAY:                  $20.13 - $21.38 / Hour
BENEFITS:                           Part Time: HESPA, IMRF
                                              Full Time: HESPA, IMRF, Voluntary Retirement, Insurance
CLASSIFICATION:               HESPA
APPLICATION DEADLINE:    Until Filled
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:  Drives Van to transport students over specified routes to local or distant points as directed by a schedule, and the Route Manager. 
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:     The successful applicant must possess a High School diploma or GED; Must be at least age 21; able to pass a pre-employment physical with a drug and alcohol screening; pass IDOT physical and complete written exam at DMV for a class B Endorsement.  Have a valid IL License with a clean record; must satisfactorily complete training necessary for bus/van evacuation, first aid, CPR certification and blood borne pathogens. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and have the ability to sit or stand for long durations.
