Job description

  • Own electrical hardware systems for hydrogen injection across customer vessels and Newlight test cells.
  • Define subsystem and system architecture, electrical interfaces, junction boxes, power distribution, and safety circuits.
  • Integrate commercial and custom equipment while maintaining electrical interface-control documentation and verification plans.
  • Design custom PCBs for valve drivers, power conversion, sensor interfaces, hydrogen detection, and control circuits.
  • Create schematics, select components, complete multilayer layouts, and release manufacturing packages.
  • Lead board bring-up, bench validation, installation support, commissioning, and field troubleshooting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least three years of electrical engineering experience in marine, industrial, transportation, or similarly demanding hardware environments.
  • Strong PCB schematic and layout skills, including multilayer design, power electronics, analog signal conditioning, and EMI or EMC considerations.
  • Experience with PCB manufacturing, board bring-up, testing, and systematic debugging.
  • Working knowledge of CAN, RS-485, Modbus, or similar industrial communication protocols.
  • Hydrogen, methanol, CNG, or other alternative-energy systems.
  • Wire harnesses, junction boxes, ruggedized electrical packaging, and vessel installation.
  • Hands-on fabrication, testing, commissioning, and on-site troubleshooting.
  • Altium, KiCad, or Eagle; LTspice or PSpice; and standard electronic test equipment.
