Work Environment

As a Physician Assistant at our Tampa facility, you will work in a collaborative and supportive onsite hospital environment. The role typically requires an 8-hour shift during the day, Monday through Friday, with some required on-call coverage on Saturdays. Our hospital is equipped with the latest medical technology and adheres to safety regulations to foster an efficient and safe workplace. Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive and compassionate medical care, including conducting thorough assessments, diagnosing conditions, prescribing treatments, and managing follow-up care.
• Collaborative Approach: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans, ensuring optimal coordination of care across departments.
• Clinical Procedures: Execute a variety of medical procedures as required, while adhering to established protocols and maintaining the highest standards of patient safety.
• On-Call Coverage: Participate in the hospital's on-call rotation, providing timely medical advice and assistance to patients when needed, including during weekends.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all medical interactions, diagnoses, treatment plans, and outcomes per established guidelines.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures, empowering them to play an active role in their healthcare.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant medical regulations, organizational policies, and ethical standards in every aspect of patient care.
• Professional Development: Stay informed of the latest medical advancements through training and continuing education opportunities, enhancing your skills and expertise in the field.
• Quality Improvement: Actively engage in quality improvement initiatives, participating in case reviews and process evaluations aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and overall safety.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related healthcare field.
• Licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Florida.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients and healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
