NIGHT SHIFT
JOB PURPOSE:
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing production, providing leadership to the manufacturing or distribution team, and facilitating the production process to ensure the achievement of all manufacturing or distribution objectives. This person works with the Leads, employees, and other members of management in their facility to oversee the production floor, drive operational excellence.
The Operations Supervisor is a Front-Line Leader with overall responsibility of Human Capital within their span of control. They are responsible for the performance and development of the front-line employees. The Supervisor must make adjustments to execute production plans by managing resources in support of the overall Value Stream goals and Customer Demand.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a production control/planning environment preferred in a related field.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Safety Management.
  • Lead by demonstrating safe and quality conscious work habits throughout all value streams.
  • Facilitate the achievement of daily production goals and KPIs.
  • Ensure production runs according to schedule, safely and meets OFS's quality standard.
  • Ensure policies and processes are deployed throughout the value streams.
    Ensures accident investigation activities are completed in a timely manner and that safety actions/investigation results are deployed and effective within operations.
  • Participate as needed in Lean activities, such as Quality circles, Kaizen events, Problem Solving events, SMED, GEMBA walks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
  • Manipulation of data in excel and formula creation.
  • Intermediate knowledge about quality tools (5 Why's, Pareto charts, fish bone, etc.) at a level to train and explain to others.
  • Strong 5S skills.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to learn new skills and adapt to change quickly.
  • Must be flexible and willing to accept responsibilities that are outside the traditional scope.
  • Be open to changes, result oriented and have the condition to keep a good relationship with his/her team.
  • Any other activities as directed by the Plant Leadership.
