What is a Value Stream Associate?

A Value Stream Associate is a professional who supports and improves the flow of materials, information, and processes within a value stream—essentially the sequence of activities that deliver a product or service to a customer. They often work in manufacturing, logistics, or service industries and are responsible for identifying inefficiencies, assisting with process improvements, and ensuring that value is consistently delivered to the customer. Their role may involve data collection, team collaboration, and implementing Lean or continuous improvement principles. The HelloFresh Group now includes our core brand, HelloFresh, as well as: Green Chef, EveryPlate, Chefs Plate, Factor_, and Youfoodz.

Director, Global Value Stream Fulfillment

As a Director on the Global Value Stream Fulfillment team, you will lead a portfolio of operational capability verticals within HelloFresh's global supply chain, shaping the strategy and execution model for how we standardize, improve, and scale our operations worldwide. You will manage a team of Associate Directors and Senior Managers, set the department's operational agenda, and serve as a senior voice of operations across the organization. This is a high-impact leadership role that sits at the intersection of operations, technology, and global strategy.

You will...

  • Define and execute the strategic direction for Fulfillment and Warehousing process verticals, owning the multi-year capability roadmap and global template.
  • Lead and mentor an indirect team of Associate Directors and Senior Managers, building a high-performing, accountable department with clear OKRs aligned to company strategy.
  • Set the governance framework and operating model for how the Global Value Stream team Fulfillment designs, validates, and deploys process and technology standards internationally.
  • Partner at the executive level with Product, Engineering, Finance, and regional Operations to align on global priorities, technology investments, and performance benchmarks.
  • Own the department's budget, headcount planning, and resource allocation across capability areas and geographies.
  • Serve as the final decision authority on process deviation requests, capability exceptions, and cross-market design trade-offs.
  • Drive the organization's approach to continuous improvement, value stream analysis, and waste elimination at scale — setting the standard for how the company approaches process maturity.
  • Lead the design and deployment of the most complex and high-stakes Lighthouse Projects, from problem definition through to global rollout.
  • Ensure the team functions as an effective internal consultancy — providing rigorous expert support to regional operations, quality teams, and technology partners.

You have...

  • 12–15+ years of progressive experience in Downstream Operations and Technology — including significant senior leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-functional teams across multiple geographies, with full accountability for operational outcomes.
  • Deep expertise across multiple Fulfillment and Warehousing domains, with a breadth of experience that enables credible leadership across the full Fulfillment Value Stream portfolio.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience and delivering measurable business impact.
  • Extensive experience Fulfillment and Warehousing technology ecosystems, including Order Management Systems (OMS/WCS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Automated Storage and Retrieval system (ASRMS), and Order Enrichment systems; experience with Industrial Engineering hardware integration a strong plus.
  • A track record of developing senior talent and building high-performance organizations.
  • Experience operating as a senior stakeholder in cross-functional governance and product/technology lifecycle processes.
  • Have the ability to travel upto 25% of the time in a quarter.

You are...

  • A bold, strategic leader with the operational depth to earn the trust of both warehouse teams, Tech teams and the C-suite.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity at the department level while maintaining clarity and pace for your team.
  • A talent multiplier — known for developing strong leaders and creating organizations that outlast any individual.
  • A rigorous, data-driven decision maker who moves fast without sacrificing quality or thoroughness.
  • Passionate about building world-class operations at scale — energized by the complexity and impact of a global mandate.
  • An outstanding communicator and influencer who can drive alignment across diverse cultures, functions, and levels of seniority.

What you'll get in return...

  • The opportunity to shape global Fulfillment and Warehousing strategy at a leading food technology company with significant reach and impact.
  • A high-ownership, low-bureaucracy environment where your work is visible and your decisions matter.
  • Flexible working arrangements to support your work-life balance.
  • Company discount: 70% off HelloFresh and 40% off Youfoodz.
  • Continuous development through HelloFresh Academies and access to internal mobility across 18 countries.
  • An egoless, collaborative culture focused on learning, growth, and building something exceptional together.

You’ll get…

  • Competitive hourly rate, 401K company match that vests immediately upon participation, & team bonus opportunities
  • Generous PTO and flexible attendance policy
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits with options at $0 monthly, effective first day of employment
  • Up to 85% discount on subscriptions to HelloFresh meal plans (HelloFresh, Green Chef, Everyplate, and Factor_)
  • Access to Employee Resource Groups that are open to all employees, including those pertaining to BIPOC, women, veterans, parents, and LGBTQ+
  • Inclusive, collaborative, and dynamic work environment within a fast-paced, mission-driven company that is disrupting the traditional food supply chain
