Job description

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Merchant Services Telesales Specialist to join the Merchant Services team. In this role, you will partner with business owners to identify and implement secure, modern payment solutions that drive growth, operational efficiency, and an improved customer experience.

In this role, you will:

  • Sell a full suite of payment solutions, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, eCommerce gateways, and mobile payment tools
  • Engage with pre-qualified inbound leads and executing targeted outbound follow-up to drive conversion
  • Assess client needs and delivering customized merchant solutions aligned to business objectives
  • Educate clients on payment security, fraud mitigation, and regulatory compliance
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle, from initial consultation through application, onboarding, and activation
  • Collaborate with internal partners to ensure a seamless, end-to-end client experience
  • Support inbound inquiries from customers and prospects within the Merchant Services contact center
  • Assist with account setup and onboarding across multiple platforms and industries
  • Navigate multiple systems to address questions related to funding, billing, interchange, and payment operations
  • Consistently achieve sales goals, service standards, and key performance metrics

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Merchant Services or Contact Center Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in consultative sales, financial services, or solution-based selling environments
  • Merchant Services, payments, or fintech industry experience
  • Proven success managing outbound sales efforts and pipeline development
  • Bilingual Spanish proficiency
  • Experience handling inbound customer service inquiries alongside sales responsibilities
  • Understanding of financial documentation, regulatory disclosures, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency navigating CRM tools, multiple systems, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets, KPIs, and performance goals
