Job description

Admissions Representative

SUMMARY

The Admissions Representative is responsible for recruiting and enrolling qualified students in accordance with Valley College policies, accrediting-body standards, and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. This role supports prospective students throughout the admissions process while upholding the highest standards of integrity, accuracy, and compliance. Because this position handles sensitive student and institutional information, strict adherence to all confidentiality and privacy requirements is expected. Success in this position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to providing clear, ethical guidance to prospective students.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

1. Consistently respond to inquiries in a timely, professional, and service-oriented manner.

2. Follow Valley College communication protocols when engaging with applicants throughout the admissions process, including any requested student follow-up.

3. Use Valley College?s approved phone scripts and admissions presentations to provide accurate information about Valley College?s educational programs.

4. Coordinate lead handling and prospect appointments with the Director of First Impressions or the designated campus staff member.

5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the student inquiry management system.

6. Collaborate with faculty, placement, and administrative personnel to support student retention and contribute to strong placement outcomes.

7. Participate actively in community outreach efforts, including high school visits and job/college fairs.

8. Adhere to the Admissions Personnel Code of Conduct and all Valley College policies and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities but collaborates with the admissions team to support student success.

WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position operates within a professional office setting. The role also involves regular engagement with team members and/or prospective students. Standard office equipment is used routinely, including?but not limited to?computers, real-time communication systems, phones, and printers.

The employee must be able to:

· Remain in a stationery or mobile position for extended periods to perform job duties.

· Occasionally move, position, or adjust items such as files, office supplies, or equipment.

· Maintain sufficient visual acuity to read, review, and prepare documents.

Reasonable accommodation requests will be considered in accordance with ADA guidelines.

TRAVEL

This position may require occasional travel to other campus locations, or off-site work-related locations or campus events.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time, hourly position. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week. This is an on-site position. Standard business hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION, LICENSING, PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE & OTHER

· Education: A college credential (Bachelor-level) is preferred.

· Licensure: No requirements.

· Prior Work Experience: Previous sales experience is preferred. Experience in vocational school or intangible sales is helpful.

· State permit is required after hire.

Valley College will assist incumbent complete the permit process.

SUPERVISORY CONTROL

Direct Report: Campus Management.

Oversight: Department Management.

May receive collaborative guidance and direction from department management and other Valley College management team members to support institutional goals.
